This year we recognize the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation through offering a set of class called "The Solas Series." The “Five Solas” were the foundation of the Reformation. Yet today, many Protestants have little to no understanding of the Solas, or why they are important. This series is designed to help you understand the theological importance of the Solas by first understanding their historical context. It is then that we can understand their application today.
In fact, the Five Solas are as critical today as they were five hundred years ago. Today there are new challenges. We must also remember the cry of the Reformation – “Semper Reformanda” (the church is “always reforming”). And often the way forward is to first look back. We hope this series will bring you (1) Appreciation for those who have come before us, (2) An awareness of the need for the Solas in our day, and as a result, (3) Renewed affection for the gospel.
