Military Ministry
WELCOME and THANK YOU FOR SERVING
Peninsula Bible Fellowship loves military families and are praying for you as you search for your next spiritual home. PBF has been serving this community for over 40 years and has a long, loving and abiding relationship with the service men and women who have been a blessing to support in their time here.
As the pastor of Peninsula Bible Fellowship, I have a unique appreciation for the military community. My dad is a retired Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, my brother had a long career as a Navy S.E.A.L., my uncle was a Green Beret in the U.S. Army, who gave his life in service during Vietnam, and my nephew is currently in Marine boot camp. My family has benefitted from the love and care of Christian communities who only knew and loved us for a brief amount of time. My dad still gets tears in his eyes 60 years later when he recalls the birthday cake Christians bought for him when he was a single airman a long way from home. What a blessing it is to pay that care forward!
PBF wants to help you make this one of the best duty stations of your military career and are so honored to care for your kids and youth. I know how difficult it can be to open your heart to new friends, new schools, and new experiences and the hope is for a stable, nurturing place where kids and youth are valued and hopefully make lifelong friends.
If you are single, there is an incredible inter-church young adult ministry called THRIVE that you’re going to love, with over 100 young adults who are looking to grow in their relationship with Jesus.
It stands to reason that PBF isn't going to be a fit for everyone’s spiritual needs. Peninsula Bible is a Presby-Bapti-Costal non-denom church where we try to major on the majors of Christianity. The pastoral team tends to come from a Reformed perspective and they are committed to Jesus and the centrality of His gospel. The mission is to transform Kitsap County and the world through grace and truth and you are welcome on this team. If this isn't a good fit for you, there are other local churches who we count as partners, and what’s most important is getting you into Christian community. The pastors would gladly refer you to a church that would be a better fit.
Peninsula Bible Fellowship wants you to feel welcome and experience radical love. As you grow to know and love Jesus more over these next 900 days, you can be equipped as a missionary to the next place and plan that Jesus and military has for your life. If there is anyway PBF be of service to you, please email info@peninsulabible.org or call 360-692-6549.
In Grace and Truth,
Pastor Brent James
